CPR Training

The American Heart Association estimates that in the United States, there are more than 350,000 incidents of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest every year. A victim has a 4% chance of surviving without CPR. YOU can be the force to TRIPLE those odds by performing (Hands Only) CPR. It is simple to get trained and to be ready to act immediately- before EMS arrival.

The Schenectady Fire Department does not directly train the public in CPR but, several of our members are certified to instruct through our partners. Please contact REMO or AHA to schedule instruction for groups and individuals.
